Hello... I am Randall.. I am 40 yrs old...on friday the the 17th  of May totally severed the echilles tendon
into.. was admitted in the hospital and Sunday morning i was in surgery to have it repaired... at first it didn't hurt that much really didn't notice it to much...as time went on i could start feeling pain as feeling came back i could feel stinging, could not let it hang down.. it throbbed... then it felt like something was around it and it hurt so so so so bad...  on today i notice a slight burning sensation along the out side of my foot ... to my toes...it felt like shock  pains..  it just feels weird and some times hurt so bad.. then it goes away as long i keep it elevated  and don't move it... sometimes feel like someone poked me with a needle... prick all over my foot at different times... then numb and then cold   half feeling it. and not ... i feel it pulling together where they sowed it up , i feel a lot of itching... then it go away and then the tendon in the back of my heal  feel like it puffs up... and throbs a bit and then it relaxes... then when i move it again it does it all over again... I wonder it if as time goes on.. does it get better.. other say they feel little to no pain..  if i get up on my good leg and my foot get lower then 2 feet it throbs bad... it almost takes me down... i try to use a walker  but it very hard and some time impossible for the stinging burning pain.. it  move all over my foot.. on the heel  some time on the side ( outer Edge) on the top  or just in the ankle area no where else.. it like the pain moves all over... I am hoping someone can shed some light is this normal... in first few weeks.. and does it get better less painful as you go...( is it the nerves are waking up...) and once they settle down  does it go away? just wondering if it normal.. i know it only day four after surgery. I know other speak about it blogs i have read. that is was some pain but not to terrible. i had at least two bags of antibiotic iv... for before.. and 2 after  and come home antibiotic orally 2 time a day for 7 days... I have never been threw anything like this ever... Just wondering if it to be expected .Hoping other that in  the early stage of this... like me in first week... if they are experiencing this...some  speak of it like once the cast is off.. it smooth ride from there on.. and as early as 3 months doing the thing they did before...all tho i am not to be weight baring for 6 to 8 weeks.... to give it time to completely heal.anyone tell me the early experince  in the first week what the pain level is like...? i only hope.. i can get threw the worst and the pain ge less as i go.. and the cool burning sensation go away  along the nerve...can't wait to read your post so i know what to expect and know what is fairly common...

Thanks Randall
